WHA Wins 3 Outstanding EIA Monitoring Awards 2025 Highlighting 5 Core Mission Under Sustainability Framework Confident Achieving Net Zero Target by 2025
17/09/2025WHA Industrial Development Public Company Limited (WHAID), Thailand's Number 1 leading industrial estate developer under WHA Corporation Public Company Limited (WHA Group), has won 3 Outstanding EIA Monitoring Awards 2025 under the industrial project category, reflecting the company’s operations that truly meet environmental standards and social responsibility.
On this occasion, Mr. Suwat Thitathanakit, Chief Operating Officer, WHAID, was a representative to receive the prestigious awards from Mrs. Chayanan Pakdeejit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, at the EIA Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2025 (EIA S&M Awards 2025), organized by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), at the Amari Bangkok Hotel, under the concept "EIA Next Step: The Next Sustainable Growth."
WHA industrial estates that received awards include:
- Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong) (ESIE), operated by Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong) Co., Ltd.
- WHA Chonburi Industrial Estate 2 (WHA CIE 2), operated by WHA Industrial Development Public Co., Ltd.
- WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 3 (WHA ESIE 3), operated by WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate Co., Ltd.
In addition, WHA Group has outstanding policies to achieve Net Zero through investment in innovations and projects such as solar cell, WeCYCLE project, water reclamation, and reforestation projects in green areas of industrial estates.
On this occasion, WHAID also welcomed the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Secretary-General of the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), and their team, to visit the WHA Group booth and present the WeCYCLE project that collects plastic bottles, paper, and used cooking oil for recycling and upcycling.
Receiving this award reinforces WHAID's commitment to conduct business with good environmental management, in accordance with the environmental impact prevention and mitigation measures specified in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report.
